Disability Payment Team Leader

Job Summary
Disability Payment Team Leader leads a team within the Disability Payment organization to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include meeting daily KPIs with CPP/QPP targets, providing technical support on CPP/QPP applications, decisions and appeals, coaching and mentoring team members, monitoring workflow and re-allocating resources to meet service standards, handling inquiries and escalation, driving process improvement with Business Consultant and Leadership, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, delivering change-management support, fostering continuous improvement and a positive team culture, and participating in recruiting and onboarding. The role requires 3-5 years of leadership experience in operations, strong coaching and communication abilities, bilingual proficiency in French and English, and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The position is based in Montreal, Canada with a hybrid work arrangement and is a 12-month contract. The company emphasizes an adaptable, inclusive, and flexible working environment with options to work from office or virtually.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of operation leadership experience
- Ability to coach and influence desired behavior
- Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) REQUIRED for frequent interactions across Canada and worldwide
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Change management and process improvement experience
- Knowledge of CPP/QPP applications, decisions, appeals, offsets, and overpayments (assume max) is a plus
- Experience in leading teams, performance tracking, and coaching
- Ability to provide clear direction aligning team goals with organizational objectives
- Familiarity with information security standards and regulatory compliance
