Job Summary
Disability Application Specialist role involves two-person Flex Houseparents living on campus in Hershey, PA, providing supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation, and program planning for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include overseeing routines, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting, and reporting. After an initial nine-on/three-off schedule, they transition to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Requires married couples (both spouses), high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus; relocation assistance and paid training are provided. To be considered, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Proximity to campus: on-site housing and duties
