Job Summary
Disability Application Specialist role repurposed as Full-time Flex Houseparents for a two-person married couple living on campus to care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The position may transition from a Flex Houseparent to a Placed Houseparent, involving living and working with the same student group in their home. Benefits include salary (per person) of $44,768 plus comprehensive coverage and relocation/training support. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; candidates must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must apply individually.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
