Job Summary
Disability Application Specialist role for Milton Hershey School as Full-time Flex Houseparents. A two-person, married couple resides in on-campus student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising, scheduling, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and managing budgeting and household reporting. The position begins with a nine-on, three-off duty cycle across multiple homes, with eventual placement to a single student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to live on campus with spouse in on-site student homes
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Two-person marriage-based eligibility: married for at least two years, both spouses age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to work a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule during initial phase
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age requirement: both spouses >=27
