Job Summary
The FBS Operations Manager leads day-to-day operations across Engineering & Design, Project Management, Production, and Logistics to ensure project execution, efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control. Responsibilities include translating strategy into executable processes, coaching and directing managers/supervisors/team leads, ensuring adherence to SOPs, driving cross-functional collaboration, monitoring operational capacities and KPIs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives using TOC, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5-7 years in manufacturing/production, at least 5 years in leadership within substation contexts, and experience with ERP/MRP systems; PMP/CPIM/Six Sigma certifications are preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, plus excellent communication and organizational skills, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, project-based environments
- Substation experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proven experience managing teams and implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement strategies
- Project Management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of project/production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Proven ability to manage teams, processes, and cross-functional workflows
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Working knowledge of TOC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or other process improvement techniques and methodologies (certification preferred)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)
- Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) (preferred)
- Soft skills: Excellent leadership, team-building, interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills
