Job Summary
Lead and grow multiple Web and WebApps engineering teams for Connected TV platforms including Samsung, LG, Xbox, and Vizio. Define and execute the engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and architecture decisions for highly scalable, resilient, and secure web applications serving millions of users. Partner with Product, Design, and executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives, establish engineering best practices, and manage organizational planning including hiring and succession. Mentor Engineering Managers and Senior Engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. Balance business priorities with long-term platform investments and technical debt reduction to ensure operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams or organizations
- Strong experience building and scaling enterprise-grade Web applications serving millions of users
- Experience with smartTV / streaming platforms such as LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, or other web based connectedTV devices
- Deep technical expertise in modern web technologies including TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, and Micro Frontend architectures
- Experience designing cloud-native applications on AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Proven experience leading Engineering Managers and Senior Technical Leaders
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, security, and performance optimization
- Experience driving Agile software development practices and large-scale engineering programs
- Demonstrated success managing organizational growth, hiring, coaching, and talent development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align engineering investments with organizational objectives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building OTT, Media Streaming, or Digital Entertainment platforms
- Experience with CDN technologies, video streaming platforms, and media delivery architectures
- Knowledge of Accessibility (WCAG), SEO, Web Performance optimization, and Core Web Vitals
- Experience with observability platforms, monitoring tools, and Site Reliability Engineering practices
- Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and modern engineering productivity tools
