Job Summary
Lead strategic leadership and design direction for major municipal wastewater and infrastructure projects across Ontario. Direct multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, including environmental assessments, planning, approvals, conceptual design, and construction. Oversee the planning and execution of wastewater treatment facilities, sewage collection systems, and pumping stations while managing budgets, resources, and quality assurance. Act as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders throughout project development and implementation. Drive business development activities, including client relationship management, strategic account growth, and proposal development. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to project managers and engineers while fostering professional development across the team. Represent the organization at industry events to strengthen market presence. Requires a P.Eng. license in Ontario, 15+ years of municipal wastewater experience, and a hybrid work schedule based in Mississauga, Markham, or Kitchener.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal wastewater consulting, engineering, and project leadership
- Demonstrated experience leading significant wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects from planning through construction
- Strong expertise in wastewater treatment, sewage collection systems, pumping stations, and municipal infrastructure planning
- Proven success in managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Thorough understanding of environmental assessment processes, regulatory approvals, municipal standards, and infrastructure delivery frameworks
- Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and team development skills
- Established network of municipal client relationships within Ontario, particularly within the GTA and Southwestern Ontario
