Job Summary

Proactively engage with consulting and client leadership in strategic planning discussions and cultivate a pipeline of analytic work. Develop frameworks, solutions, and recommendations to address impactful opportunities, partnering with peers across marketing, sales, risk, and products to implement projects that maximize Visa's resources. Produce insights and analyses to improve client performance, boost growth, and provide strategic guidance. Participate in the sales process to qualify opportunities, develop engagement pitches, and secure new consulting assignments. Deliver consulting engagements by managing teams, resolving complex problems, and leading advisory initiatives as the primary source of strategic direction. Use data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities while overseeing pricing approvals, internal routing, and revenue recognition. Manage various systems of record and deliver client-ready presentations in collaboration with the team. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, with specific days confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD)
  • 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Visa requires at least 3 days in office
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
  • Primary owner of consulting business development
  • responsible for overseeing the delivery of full engagements

Desired Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 5+ years' experience working in the payments industry
  • preferably managing cards portfolios
  • relevant experience at payments management in consulting firms
  • An educational background ideally in a quantitative field such as engineering, economics, computer science, business administration, or finance
  • Extensive client-facing experience with proven ability to interact and present effectively to senior management
  • Demonstrated executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • capable of effective presentations and communication at all organizational levels
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills, especially in matrixed organizations
  • ability to collaborate effectively with team members who are not direct reports
  • In depth knowledge of payment schemes, including products, processes, and cards lifecycle management
  • Highly collaborative with experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities
  • Passionate, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
