Job Summary
Develop and execute the US Payer, Access & Reimbursement marketing strategy for Genetix gene therapy products through market analysis and tactical initiatives. Synthesize strategic recommendations for executive leadership and lead the review of promotional materials to ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated strategies for the Field Payer Team, including training support and new hire onboarding. Manage the Value Communications budget and oversee third-party vendors while maintaining alignment on timelines and deliverables. This full-time hybrid role (3 days in Somerville, MA) requires 8+ years of experience in Payer/Access Marketing and involves up to 40% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Payer/Access Marketing, Market Access Strategy, Field Market Access/HEOR Training and/or Value Communications within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting industry
- Bachelor's degree
- Possesses recent experience in the successful commercialization of specialty therapies, preferably in the rare disease or Cell and Gene Therapy space
- Demonstrated history of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Extensive experience in shaping market access strategies, developing brand plans and payer marketing tools (such as value proposition decks), informing HEOR data strategies, and supporting field market access teams
- Previous experience supporting Specialty Distribution and Specialty Pharmacy products
- Experience with MLR/PRC and Veeva
- Experience developing and managing promotional budgets and overseeing third-party vendors
- Knowledge of market and competitive environment
- Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and patient-centric focus
- Excellent verbal and written communication with high emotional intelligence and active listening
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills with ability to translate insights into action
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with initiative, including project planning and prioritizing competing demands
- Proven ability to establish and sustain trusted relationships with internal partners and to work effectively in teams
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, strong interpersonal influencing and prioritization abilities, and proven capacity to influence within matrixed organizations, including influencing without authority
- Creative problem-solving abilities, strategic vision, and the ability to explore innovative approaches in an evolving landscape
- Ability to quickly forge strong partnerships with both internal and external partners
- Strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute to achieve operational excellence in the face of challenging goals
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of complex, ongoing responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data entry systems
- Ability to travel up to 40%
