Job Summary
Lead GPI's utility and regulatory innovation work by providing strategic direction, staffing, fundraising, and external relations. Convene and facilitate stakeholder groups to develop consensus policy recommendations on complex regulatory issues such as integrated resource planning, rate design, and DER interconnection. Supervise a team of staff members while designing and implementing multi-meeting engagement processes for commissions and utilities. Manage budgets for grants and contracts, lead proposal development for philanthropic funders and regulatory bodies, and produce thought leadership through blogs, white papers, and webinars. Collaborate with partners on technical analyses and local government engagement.

- experience working with partners and/or subcontractors that will complete technical analyses needed to inform stakeholder discussions
- experience collaborating with GPI's communications team to put out nuanced, fact-based thought leadership
- experience collaborating with GPI's communities program to support constructive local government engagement in PUC proceedings
- experience supervising, supporting, and guiding the development of a team of staff members
- experience developing and maintaining relationships with philanthropic and fee-for-service funders
- experience leading and overseeing the development of proposals to philanthropic funders
- experience leading and overseeing the development of responses to requests-for-proposals from regulatory commissions, state agencies, and others
- experience leading and overseeing the development of proposals to assist utilities with designing and implementing stakeholder engagement processes
- experience collaborating with other program team members, other teams across GPI, and external partners on developing new work
- experience overseeing and managing budgets for multiple projects, including both grants and contracts
- experience working on electric or gas utility and regulatory innovation
- experience designing stakeholder engagement processes to achieve a set of stated goals or outcomes
- experience with philanthropic and/or fee-for-service fundraising and managing budgets
- experience supervising staff members and supporting them to succeed
- experience facilitating meetings of many different sizes and formats
- experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of political perspectives
- experience developing and maintaining relationships
- experience working with different communication styles
