Job Summary

Director, US Strategic Risk, CCAR and Resolution Planning role at RBC US in Jersey City. Create and maintain an oversight program for CCAR and Resolution Planning; coordinate with Line of Business stakeholders to align CCAR, capital management, and resolution planning policies and standards for the Combined U.S. Operations (CUSO) level; serve as the central 2LOD coordination point within CUSO Group Risk Management for Resolution Planning; assist in the annual second line of defense review and consolidated reporting of the RBC US strategic plan; prepare consolidated review and challenge assessments of CUSO CCAR/Capital Plan and Resolution Planning; implement enterprise policy and standards related to change risk at CUSO tailored for the US; rationalize change risk processes across CUSO for streamlined approvals and consistent risk management; collaborate with internal audit and regulatory bodies; telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week; full-time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with a base salary of $212,700 per year; applicable benefits and bonus opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law or related field
  • 7 years of related work experience in risk management or first line of defense with CCAR and Resolution Planning in financial services
  • 3 years of experience in CCAR processes
  • 3 years of experience in Category III or IV banking institutions
  • experience in at least one key risk discipline (Enterprise, Market, Counterparty, Credit, Liquidity, or Operational Risk)
  • experience developing, implementing, and maintaining processes and controls related to change risk management or regulatory standards
  • experience negotiating with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
  • experience supporting or leading periodic strategy reviews with monitoring and reporting on strategic initiatives
  • experience interpreting and tailoring enterprise policies and standards for change risk management
  • experience working with internal audit and regulatory bodies
