Director, Underwriting Appetite & Standards

Director, Underwriting Appetite & Standards leads the development and maintenance of underwriting guidelines across Small Business, Middle Market, and Large Commercial portfolios, handles referrals across lines of business for complex risks, and provides enterprise underwriting QA. The role partners with Underwriting Training to identify and deliver technical training topics, supports governance of referral and authority structures, and contributes to product growth through high-quality underwriting resources and standards. The position requires solid technical underwriting knowledge, leadership abilities to manage a team, and collaboration across product development, actuarial/pricing, claims, safety, compliance, and sales to drive profitable growth; location-based in Las Vegas, NV with on-site responsibilities.
