Job Summary
Director, Treasury Solutions Group in Continental Europe leads the CE practice within HSBC's Global Payments Solutions (GPS) to guide corporate treasuries through transformation. The role is predominantly market- and client-facing, engaging with Corporate and Institutional clients, representing GPS/HSBC at external forums, and leading a specialist team to design and deliver payments and treasury solutions across geographies and currencies. Responsibilities include shaping strategic treasury transformation roadmaps with clients, driving revenue through increased usage of payment solutions, delivering globally consistent training, and developing thought leadership and external speaking engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Treasury practitioner and/or consulting experience in treasury set-up, centralisation, standardisation, with use of treasury management and/or payment factory systems
- Established treasury expert, with leadership experience in Corporates treasury management and/or treasury consulting
- Experience in setting risk appetite and budgets, working capital metrics, developing treasury policies, applying data-driven methodologies to measure, report and benchmark performance
- Familiarity with payout infrastructure: bank transfer rails, digital wallets, local payout methods
- Strong and effective stakeholder management skills, ability to build effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust with clients and stakeholders
- Experience in product commercialisation and track record of driving volumes and revenues
- Track record in thought leadership on topics and themes which are top of mind of stakeholders, from CFO/CEO in the organisation, banking and payments partners, treasury technology providers
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
