Job Summary
The Director of Trade Compliance oversees export controls across multiple manufacturing plants, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC, CBP). Remote position with 30-40% travel. Relocation assistance is available. Responsibilities include providing export guidance on complex trade matters, leading audits and remediation, overseeing export license preparation/submission (DECCS, SNAP-R), managing EEI filings in ACE, collaborating with legal, monitoring regulatory changes, maturing the trade compliance program, building teams, mentoring, and maintaining relationships with government agencies, customs brokers, and freight forwarders. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of experience, and deep regulatory expertise; must be a U.S. Person.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years of trade compliance experience
- Deep expertise across ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and CBP regulatory regimes
- Understanding of HTS/ECCN classification, Country of Origin, valuation, FTA
- Experience with DECCS and SNAP-R export licensing portals
- Proven ability to advise senior leadership on compliance strategy and risk
- Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail skills
- Must be a U.S. Person
