Director Trade Compliance

Job Summary
Director Trade Compliance responsible for building and proactively managing export/import compliance programs across multiple business units; lead and supervise trade compliance staff; ensure adherence to laws, regulations and company policies; interface with CITC Office and senior management; develop, implement and maintain trade compliance processes, training, and audits; manage classifications, licensing, deemed exports, screening, and documentation; drive improvements and cross-functional collaboration across US sites in California, Texas, Massachusetts, and Maryland.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Law, or International Trade
- Significant experience (at least 10 years) in domestic and international trade compliance laws and regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, Customs)
- Experience with UK and other countries’ export and import laws and regulations, including customs laws and export control regulations
- Strong leadership, communication (written, oral, and presentations) and interpersonal skills
- Experience in training, mentoring and managing staff
- Ability to manage a high volume of work at a detailed level in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact effectively with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, and CITC Office
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
- Customs broker license would be beneficial
- Security clearance capability would be a positive factor
