Director Track & Right of Way

Director Track & Right of Way oversees the resources and activities of personnel engaged in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of light rail transit Track and Right-of-Way, including budget and supervision of salary/hourly staff, managing vendor contracts and expenditures, and overseeing capital projects and state of good repair (SGR) efforts for DART's Maintenance of Way division. Responsibilities include developing programs, procedures, and standards for the Track and Right-of-Way division; coordinating with engineers and contractors to resolve maintenance problems; reviewing designs and procuring materials; directing maintenance and upgrades; developing work schedules and preventative maintenance plans; interviewing and developing staff; enforcing safety policies; preparing budget estimates and variance explanations; producing activity reports; authorizing requisitions; coordinating with Material Management; responding to emergencies and supporting capital project development; and performing other duties as assigned.
