Job Summary
Director, TPA Vendor Relations needed to lead strategic and operational management of third-party administrator (TPA) relationships. Responsibilities include establishing operational standards, governance routines, and performance expectations for TPA partners; driving disciplined service delivery; ensuring alignment of TPA services with priorities and customer experience; developing a performance-management framework with SLAs, KPIs, and scorecards; enforcing contractual obligations; monitoring vendor performance and financial metrics; driving continuous improvement and cost optimization; overseeing vendor contracts in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and Legal; mitigating risks; and providing data-driven reporting to senior leadership. Requires 7+ years in vendor/TPA management, strong contract and negotiation skills, experience in insurance or financial services, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and develop others. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred: equivalent experience will be considered
- 7+ years demonstrated experience in vendor management, operations management, and/or TPA management and oversight, preferably within insurance or financial services industry
- Experience managing complex vendor relationships
- Proven track record of delivering operational performance and enforcing accountability with third-party providers
- Knowledge of requirements gathering
- Passionate about delivering a positive customer experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with customers, co-workers and vendors
