Job Summary
Develop and oversee the department's budget while providing leadership and supervision for therapeutic shelter homes, resource families, and direct service staff. Ensure high-quality client care and adherence to federal, state, and local standards by managing behavioral management, child engagement, and operational functions under the Vice President of Clinical and Housing Services. Draft program statements, performance improvement plans, and corrective action plans required for county contracts and funding. Oversee quality assurance systems that track service provision, documentation timeliness, and regulatory compliance. Assist in determining staffing levels and recommend wage adjustments, hiring, and terminations. Complete administrative requirements, including forms, reports, shift logs, and incident reports submitted to senior leadership. Maintain current licensure in a mental health discipline and extensive knowledge of California Code of Regulations Title 22. Salary range is $110,000 to $120,000.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social sciences, child development, social work, psychology, etc., or an applicable degree with appropriate experience
- Current licensure in a mental health discipline, as recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or CA Board of Psychology
- At least four years of demonstrated leadership responsibility
- 3+ years' experience working in child welfare or foster care system
- Extensive knowledge of California Code of Regulations Title 22
- Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency's insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles
- Willingness and ability to make frequent field visits and attend meetings, conferences, and other job-related events away from headquarters
- Must be approved by our agency's automobile insurance carrier (if driving a personal vehicle)
- Support a drug-free workplace
- Conduct pre-employment background and drug screenings
