Job Summary
The Director of Test Excellence is a senior leader responsible for defining and operationalizing a comprehensive testing strategy that enhances product quality across the organization. Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end testing vision, establishing a testing mindset that includes integration and performance testing, and driving value from testing tools and automation frameworks. The role involves mentoring high-performing teams and collaborating with engineering departments to prevent defects and improve software delivery. Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years in relevant experience, expertise in modern testing practices, and a bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software quality, test engineering, software engineering or related technical roles, with demonstrated leadership at scale.
- Proven experience owning test strategy, tooling, environments, and test data.
- Demonstrated success leading and mentoring high‐performing technical teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to testing, automation, or quality analytics.
- Deep expertise in modern testing practices including automation, integration testing, end‐to‐end testing, and system testing.
- Strong technical background with the ability to influence architecture and engineering decisions.
- Extensive experience in developing software in a scrum/Agile environment.
