Job Summary
Director-level leadership role focused on building and scaling Walmart’s ecosystem of partnerships across AI, commerce, and growth platforms. Responsible for defining and leading the tech partnerships roadmap, sourcing high-impact opportunities, performing market analysis and financial modeling to inform buy/build decisions, and steering end-to-end deal execution from exploratory talks through term sheets and contract negotiations. Leads cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, eCommerce, Advertising, Membership, Marketplace, Payments, Marketing, and Enterprise Technology to establish governance, measurement frameworks, and durable partnership constructs. Builds and maintains a portfolio of strategic technology partnerships with hyperscalers, foundation model providers, AI-native startups, and platform businesses to accelerate Walmart’s AI, commerce and growth agenda. Demonstrates executive-level communication and influence, negotiates complex agreements involving IP, data rights, co-development, platform integrations and commercialization models, and scales partnerships from pilot to enterprise-wide adoption. Knowledge of accessibility, WCAG, and inclusive digital experiences is valued, as is a background in retail/digital ecosystems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in business development/partnerships or related area
- 8+ years negotiating and managing term sheets and signed agreements with partners
- Experience leading complex deal structures involving IP, data rights, co-development, platform integrations and commercialization models
