Job Summary
Director of Technical Services responsible for the strategy and execution of technical services by the Services Department in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Supervises and provides technical advice to the Vice President of Global Services and coordinates with the Headquarters in Ottawa and overseas teams to implement the FreeBalance Accountability Suite across customer locations. Lead the design of data migration, installation and deployment tools, collaborate on interface components with R&D, and help create customer training curricula. Manage day-to-day team tasks, coordinate rollout with project managers for decentralized operations, oversee operations & maintenance in EMEA and the remote global team, and develop scalable deployment models for data centres and disaster recovery sites. Ensure cross-functional alignment on deliveries, internal policies, and communications; extensive travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Information Technology
- 5 years of experience successfully managing an internationally dispersed Services and Support Team
- Project Management experience a must
- Ability to clearly articulate at meetings with all levels of management and stakeholders
- Experience with goal-setting frameworks like Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Experienced in working with open-source software components such as Tomcat, BIRT and commercial middleware such as MS SQL and Oracle databases with Windows Operating Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Able to travel internationally
- PMI Certification
- Other IT certifications
