Job Summary
Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting to lead complex accounting initiatives, support scalable growth, and strengthen financial reporting infrastructure. Serve as the subject matter expert on technical accounting under US GAAP, prepare technical accounting memos, and partner cross-functionally to assess implications of strategic transactions and operational changes. Ensure compliance with US GAAP, international statutory reporting, SEC regulations, and internal controls; drive assessments related to strategic initiatives, acquisitions, financing, and other non-routine activities; monitor FASB/SEC guidance and implement new standards; scale technical accounting and reporting processes; mentor accounting teams and advise senior leadership with practical insights.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license or equivalent professional certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 12+ years of combined public accounting and/or industry experience, including exposure to high-growth technology or SaaS environments
- 6+ years of deep technical accounting experience with knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting (ASC 606, stock-based compensation)
- 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting/finance roles
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- SOX-compliant environment experience
- Ability to translate complex accounting issues for executive leadership
