Job Summary
Manage end-to-end revenue recognition for complex arrangements by coordinating with operations, finance, IT, and third-party providers to ensure accurate financial statement disclosures. Design and refine processes to improve efficiency in revenue recognition while researching, analyzing, and documenting significant technical accounting matters including asset impairment, leasing, and business combinations. Evaluate new accounting standards and pronouncements to develop adoption plans impacting financial statements and internal controls. Act as an advisor to executives on technical accounting questions and establish or revise accounting policies. Collaborate with external auditors on significant matters and perform annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment analyses. Support additional projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably a mix of Big 4 public accounting and accounting in private industry
- Experience in revenue accounting, including review of technical accounting for significant revenue contracts
- Active CPA license (required)
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
