Job Summary
Provide strategic technical oversight across in-service and in-flight Rapid Transit projects from design through commissioning and operations. Lead technical change management, including scope development, technical reviews, variations, and No-Objection decisions, while coordinating changes across ATS, S&TCS, SCADA, I&IT, cybersecurity, and other operational systems. Assess technical changes for system integration, operational, safety, maintainability, configuration, and lifecycle impacts, and provide technical leadership for system-performance improvements, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical and interface issues, and lead the development and governance of Rapid Transit technical standards, design requirements, and lessons learned. Apply operating-line experience to in-flight and future projects, escalating significant technical risks, deficiencies, and departures from requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a degree in Engineering/Architecture or a related discipline
- Demonstrated years' of progressive experience in capital project management and implementation
- At least five years of experience managing large, complex, multi-year transit projects
- A valid Class "G" driver's license
- All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of Ontario or Architect (O.A.A) in the Province of Ontario
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
