Job Summary

Develop and execute the global marketing strategy for the surgical vision equipment, digital, and accessories portfolio, driving short and long-term growth through a 10-year strategic plan. Lead portfolio planning for cataract and refractive equipment, overseeing business performance tracking, new product launches, and lifecycle management while collaborating with R&D, regulatory, and clinical affairs. Direct complex customer and competitor analyses to inform global branding, positioning, pricing, and channel strategies, including the development of sales aids and KOL speaker decks. Manage clinical claims and evidence strategies to deliver targeted messages to eye care professionals and patients. Elevate the organization's presence in ophthalmology through industry engagement, user meetings, and advisory boards while building a high-performing team culture. Requires 10+ years of healthcare marketing leadership experience with up to 30% domestic and international travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years work/business experience
  • Health care experience
  • Marketing leadership experience
  • Proven track record of developing talent with positive leadership characteristics
  • Experience and successful track record leading product innovation and successful commercialization
  • Strong strategic marketing fundamentals including positioning, claims, advertising judgment, and customer insights
  • Strong cross functional leadership, ability to set vision and inspire cross functional team
  • Strong servant leader characteristics and mindset, ability to influence cross-functionally and across regions without direct authority
  • Strength interacting with a variety of customers – patients, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders, Distributors, and investors/start-up organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead marketing agencies and inspire strong output
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior Medical Device and/or ophthalmology marketing experience
  • Master's degree in business (or related discipline)
  • Finance planning experience
  • Ophthalmology industry knowledge
  • Hardware and software product management skills
  • Portfolio branding experience
