Job Summary
The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for daily operational management and ensuring quality of care in perioperative services. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily surgical operations in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan, serving as a role model for nursing excellence, managing and mentoring both clinical and non-clinical staff, and ensuring optimal utilization and functionality of surgical supplies and equipment. The director will collaborate with other departments, exceed quality patient care goals, maintain compliance with accreditation standards, and promote a safe working environment through risk management. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s preferred, alongside significant leadership experience in a Surgical-Oncology setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum five to eight years of supervisory/management experience required
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- BSN degree preferred
- Leadership of a Surgical-Oncology department experience
