Job Summary
Directs the operations of the operating rooms, post-anesthesia care unit, preoperative area, and sterile processing; leads department administration, new-business development, and budgeting/financial management; ensures compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO and Title XXII) and hospital guidelines; manages staffing, resources, and equipment; drives quality improvement and develops clinical programs to maintain competitive patient care; collaborates with physicians, hospital administrators, and other disciplines to develop and implement services, standards, and policies; provides leadership for change management, staff development, and organizational planning; typical schedule is 40 hours per week, days, Exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration or related field required
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of the degree
- 12 years recent relevant experience
- Ability to develop collaboration with Medical Staff
- Knowledge of ambulatory surgical services and perioperative nursing care standards
