Job Summary
Direct the global external manufacturing supply network for DePuy Synthes, leading a multi-level team to deliver reliable supply, quality performance, and cost competitiveness. Partner with Jabil and other EMs to translate demand and capacity into executable external supply plans, lead S&OP processes, manage risks, drive supplier development and operational excellence, and ensure continuity of supply through cross-functional collaboration across EMSI and DPS franchises. Responsible for 15–20 associates, performance management, and alignment with launch readiness for NPI, M&A, and technology transfer. Requires extensive experience in end-to-end supply chain planning, external manufacturing partnerships, and strong communication and negotiation skills; travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally. English required; additional languages preferred. Travel: ~10%, domestic and international.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in supply network planning, external manufacturing, supplier management, manufacturing operations, or related discipline.
- Experience leading global, matrixed, and virtual teams with direct accountability for results.
- Direct oversight of strategic external manufacturing partners and complex supplier networks.
- Experience in highly regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, automotive) preferred.
