Job Summary

Develop commodity strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and manage the supply base structure. Direct new supplier introductions and disengagements, while driving resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, or lead-time. Approve and manage Supplier Performance Improvement Plans, delivering formal performance reviews and presenting high-level cost reduction opportunities. Engage with sub-tiers to address complex business problems and align PLC processes with strategic goals. Requires broad industry expertise and senior executive negotiation skills. Full-time role with 10% travel; salary range $180,500 to $248,500.

Required Qualifications

  • Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies
  • Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers
  • Engages with the PLC process
  • Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements
  • Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time
  • Engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain
  • Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities
  • Approves/final authority, delivers and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans
  • Drives formal supplier performance reviews
  • Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices
  • Applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance
  • Leads through subordinate managers of managers
  • Executes segment/functional business plans
  • Contributes to the development of segment/functional strategy
  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment
  • Impacts results of a department, business unit or sub-function
  • Facilitates the work done by other segments/functions
  • Negotiates and influences the opinions of others at the senior executive level
  • Exercises sensitivity to the audience
