Job Summary
Director, Student Engagement leads district efforts to improve school climate and culture through strategic planning, positive behavior supports, restorative practices, and development/implementation of disciplinary and student-safety programs. The role provides supervisory oversight of assigned clerical and professional staff, supports development of district policies and codes of conduct, coordinates collaboration with parents and community partners, and ensures compliant administration of discipline procedures. Responsibilities include developing administrative guidelines, monitoring local/state discipline and safety reporting, interpreting relevant laws, and collaborating with district leadership to advance student programming and services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision preferred
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in education or project management related field, with three (3) years of related management or supervisory experience preferred
- Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents
- Responds to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or community
- Writes speeches and effectively presents to managers, the public, and school board
