Job Summary
Originate and qualify new mandates across target accounts, build trusted-advisor relationships with CEOs and COOs, and lead proposal development and scope negotiation. Shape mandates from initial conversations through to close, then lead end-to-end delivery of strategy definition, competitive assessment, and growth planning engagements. Design operating model redesigns, manage complex multi-workstream projects with senior stakeholders, and synthesize findings for board and C-suite presentations. Develop intellectual property and reusable assets while representing Cedar at industry forums and thought leadership events. This dual-mandate role combines business development and project delivery for a Forbes-ranked global management consulting firm with deep heritage in strategy and transformation.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience
- at least 10 in a consulting or advisory capacity
- Demonstrated track record of originating and closing client engagements
- Deep expertise in at least two of the practice focus areas listed above
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects at senior organizational levels
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills
- Strong commercial instinct — able to spot and shape client opportunities
- Analytical rigor combined with practical implementation judgment
- Collaborative, low-ego, builder mindset suited to a boutique environment
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
