Director, Strategy

Job Summary
Support the development of the Group Strategy by coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders to distil strategic options and recommendations. Lead high-priority workstreams within the Group Strategy refresh and partner with key stakeholders to align corporate strategy with operational execution. Conduct deep market and industry analysis, including competitor benchmarking and scenario planning, to inform strategic decision-making on business models and resource allocation. Prepare clear briefings for the Board and Group Executive Team while tracking strategy implementation and coaching junior team members. This role reports to the Group Director, Strategy, with a requirement for 10+ years of experience in strategy or consulting, including a deep understanding of the life insurance industry.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive and relevant experience in strategy, business planning, consulting or related fields
- Experience gained from top-tier management consulting firms and/or internal strategy teams
- A combination of both experiences
- Industry-specific experience and deep understanding of Life insurance
- Demonstrated experience in supporting and delivering high-impact strategic initiatives
- Strategic thinking
- Ability to synthesize complex data and trends into clear executable recommendations
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Capability to connect market trends and internal data with strategic implications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Educational background in Business Strategy, Finance, Economics or related fields
