Job Summary
Director, Strategy & Product Portfolio leads enterprise strategic planning, portfolio governance, and capital-allocation decisions across the organization. Responsibilities span market strategy and growth enablement, product portfolio strategy and lifecycle management, capital allocation and resource prioritization, and enterprise strategic planning. The role requires coordinating with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to develop market intelligence, define portfolio ownership, establish economic decision criteria, and translate strategy into executable priorities. The candidate should demonstrate experience with scaling organizations, building strategy and portfolio processes, delivering growth, and operating in board-governed or PE-backed environments, with strong financial fluency and executive-level communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, portfolio management, product portfolio leadership, consulting, or general management
- Demonstrated experience building strategy, product, or portfolio processes in scaling organizations
- Demonstrated track record in delivering growth and winning market share
- Prior exposure to PE-backed or board-governed environments preferred or successes with Board / Enterprise approved substantial / transformational product investments
- Strong financial fluency (P&L, margins, capital trade-offs)
- Credible partner to senior executives; able to influence without authority
- Strong facilitation, communication, and executive-level writing skills
