Job Summary
Direct strategic planning, business development, and new product development for Sutter Health and its regional affiliates. Identify business opportunities, complete feasibility studies with executives, and ensure alignment between the strategic plan, operating unit business plans, and budget processes. Establish cooperative relationships with internal and external audiences to formulate policies and negotiate solutions. Make presentations to persuade stakeholders and develop creative financial solutions using advanced projections and loan computations. Prioritize assignments to complete work timely while supporting patient access and experience initiatives. Requires frequent on-site presence in Northern California, with a minimum of four days per week in the Bay Area.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
- Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- 12 years recent relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of methods and techniques for strategic planning, business and product development, risk management and financing, marketing strategies and tactics, and communications planning within an integrated and highly matrixed environment
- Established knowledge of healthcare operations, physician group, ambulatory, and patient care financing
- Diverse and thorough knowledge of healthcare trends, industry direction, regulatory compliance, competitive intelligence, and market research with the ability to integrate the information into actionable strategic and long-range plans
- Established knowledge of the advanced managed care marketplace and strategies that promote enterprise-wide, integrated solutions for payers and plan sponsors
- Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Advanced knowledge of developing creative financial solutions and make projections using present and future values, loan computations, and annuity calculations
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum four days a week on site is expected
- Travel throughout Northern California will be a part of this role
