Job Summary
Director, Strategic Finance leads financing and capital markets strategy to fund Hut 8’s infrastructure growth and long-term financial plan. You will manage financing transactions from origination through close, build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and capital partners, and support capital-structure decisions. The role involves developing the funding roadmap across equity, debt, lease, and hybrid capital; mentoring junior analysts; and collaborating with legal, accounting, tax, operations, and corporate development to support capital decisions. Focus areas include capital strategy, transaction execution, capital markets and investor relationships, financial modeling and decision frameworks, board and investment committee support, and preparing lender presentations and closing documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, project or infrastructure finance, with hands-on involvement in transactions from origination through close
- Demonstrated experience supporting the structuring and negotiation of complex financings across equity and/or debt solutions
- Extensive sector experience in one or more of the following sectors: infrastructure, power, data centers, compute and real estate
- Experience working within deal teams and supporting relationships with banks, investors, and sponsors
- Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to build analytical frameworks and pressure-test analysis
- Strong familiarity with financing instruments such as credit facilities, term loans, or securitizations
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with senior leadership, the board, and external capital partners
- Comfortable working directly with banks, investors, and outside counsel and consultants in support of live transactions
- A strategic thinker who also drives hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
