Job Summary
Director of Strategic Finance at Formlabs responsible for leading long-range financial planning across product lines, geographies, and channels; building and delivering board materials and executive financial packages; directing cross-functional strategic projects (pricing strategy for new product launches, GTM investment cases for new verticals, geographic expansion analyses); developing financial frameworks and decision tools to evaluate trade-offs (build vs buy, channel mix optimization, R&D portfolio prioritization); partnering with the Head of Finance and CFO to shape the annual operating plan; serving as a strategic thought partner to Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations; driving insights from market sizing and industry trends into actionable recommendations; improving how financial performance and strategy are communicated to stakeholders. About You describes 8-12 years in strategic finance or related fields with experience presenting to executives, plus skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic storytelling. Bonus skills include hardware/硬科技 context and capital allocation experience. Compensation range shown is $155,000–$185,000 USD and base pay is part of total compensation. Location: Somerville, MA, United States (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional strategic projects from scoping through recommendation
- Strong financial modeling skills with ability to build flexible, scenario-driven models
- Ability to build board-level materials and present to C-suite and board audiences
- Experience in pricing strategy, market entry, or GTM investment cases
- Proficiency with Excel/Sheets, SQL, BI tools (Looker, Tableau)
