Job Summary
Director, Strategic Finance - Corporate FP&A responsible for owning company-wide FP&A, long-range and annual planning, monthly forecasting, revenue forecasting, G&A budgeting, headcount and spend management, Board and investor reporting, and acting as a strategic business partner to senior leadership. Build and scale the FP&A operating system for a newly public company, including planning infrastructure, KPI dashboards, and narrative-driven insights. Partner with Sales, Product, and executives to drive decision-quality outputs, leveraging automation and AI-enabled workflows, and develop durable operating rhythms and governance to support rapid scale. Location: Sunnyvale, CA (in-person). Key skills include financial modeling, public-company reporting, KPI design, dashboards, scenario planning, ERP/BI systems (NetSuite, Oracle, Looker), and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python; ability to lead a small, talent-dense team and to translate complex data into concise leadership narratives.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of total experience in corporate FP&A or adjacent roles, with leadership experience at Director or VP level
- Strong financial modeling skills and ability to build from scratch
- Proven G&A and executive-facing partnership
- Experience leading planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting in a public-company or newly public environment
- Ability to build infrastructure and repeatable processes for forecasting, cadence, and governance
- Experience with planning, ERP, and BI systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Looker) and integrating finance processes across functions
- Technical fluency beyond spreadsheets (Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python, AI tools)
- Excellent executive communication and storytelling with data-driven narratives
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and lead small, talent-dense teams
