Job Summary
Director of Strategic Business Development focused on net-new GPO memberships in high-value senior living and inpatient behavioral health, leading the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to close, engaging executive-level stakeholders (CEO, CFO, COO, and clinical/supply-chain leaders) to position Premier as a strategic partner. Collaborates with internal teams (Sourcing, Membership, Operations, Analytics) to develop compelling value propositions, drive enterprise-level growth, and maintain CRM-based forecasting. Role emphasizes new business development with no ongoing account management post-close, and requires the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and travel within the US.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- 7+ years of applicable experience
- Experience in field-based, commissionable new-business sales role
- Experience engaging senior-level and C-suite leaders
- Experience selling GPO solutions or GPO-adjacent services
- Experience selling to enterprise-level healthcare organizations
- Willingness to travel 41-60% within the US
