Job Summary
Director of Statistical Programming leads the global statistical programming department within the Analytics and Data Sciences team, driving strategy and execution across drug development programs. Shapes operational and sourcing strategies for statistical programming, leads vendor relationships and partnerships, ensures timely execution of statistical programming and electronic submissions, and drives process improvements, standards, and data delivery. Supports talent acquisition and development, collaborates with cross-functional teams to align data standards and regulatory-compliant reporting, and maintains regulatory awareness to ensure compliance. Emphasizes leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement to advance Biogen's drug programs and development sciences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Masters or PhD in Statistics or Mathematics preferred
- 12+ years of relevant work experience in data management and analysis
- 12+ years of SAS Base programming experience, with 7+ years using SAS STAT, GRAPH, and MACRO
- 12+ years of relevant industry experience and clinical trial experience
- 7+ years of clinical database experience
- 7+ years in a supervisory role
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and drug submission guidelines
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
