Job Summary
Design, configure, and manage the technical lifecycle of NYU's core HR and Payroll ecosystem, including HCM applications, payroll systems, learning management tools, and recruiting platforms. Lead a team responsible for Tier 2/3 support, application development, and business process redesign while partnering with University HR, Finance leadership, and global campus stakeholders to translate strategic needs into secure, compliant solutions. Drive short-term project success and long-term multi-year planning to ensure applications support the University's mission and administrative excellence. Requires 10+ years in system implementations and 5+ years in HR/Payroll systems within large-scale institutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related major
- 10+ years professional level experience in system implementations, project/program management and business process redesign
- 5+ years with a focus on HR and Payroll systems and processes
- Demonstrated expertise in HR and Payroll systems, HR and Payroll business processes, application development/support, and integrations, in large-scale institutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Strong orientation toward service and collaboration
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead and establish direction in times of ambiguity
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in higher education or in a large, complex organization
- Demonstrated expertise in Workday HCM configuration, development, and support
- Agile/Scrum or PMP certification
