Job Summary
Director, Solutions Engineering (UK Remote) leads the pre-sales and technical solutions function for Turnitin’s EdTech products, building and mentoring a high-performing Solutions Engineering team while supporting strategic sales opportunities and complex customer engagements. Responsible for aligning technical evaluations, solution design, product demonstrations, and pilot programs with revenue growth and customer success across K–12, Higher Education, and Strategic/Professional Education markets. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and Customer Success, deep SME knowledge across LMS platforms, data integrations, APIs, and data privacy standards, and leadership to drive operational excellence, capacity planning, and measurable outcomes. This is a remote-first leadership position with occasional travel, reporting to the VP, Revenue Operations, and located in the UK (Manchester area).
Required Qualifications
- 6–12+ years of progressively responsible experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Solution Architecture
- 2–5+ years of demonstrable team leadership or management experience
- Experience in Education Technology (EdTech), SaaS, or enterprise software
- Strong understanding of the EdTech ecosystem technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and demo platforms
