Job Summary

Director, Software Engineering – Web leads the day-to-day application development and engineering efforts for web platforms, guiding the team through AI-enabled initiatives, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise-scale delivery. Responsible for managing software engineers and project managers, partnering with architects on multi-channel initiatives, ensuring on-time/on-budget delivery, promoting continuous improvement, and driving quality and client satisfaction. Oversees SDLC adherence, automation, and release management, and fosters a culture of experimentation and responsible AI adoption across engineering teams. Requires strong collaboration with product owners, cross-functional stakeholders, and governance of budgets and large-scale programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of application development leadership experience
  • 7+ years of technical experience within architecture development, integration of backend systems, and development
  • Experience leading or contributing to AI-enabled development projects including AI/ML integrations
  • Led integration of large language models into enterprise applications (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Llama)
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices for real-time data processing and automation
  • Experience with API orchestration, mobile-front end architectures, and customer engagement architecture
  • Knowledge of backend technologies: Node.JS, Java, SQL, NoSQL, Spring Boot, Kafka, Spark
  • Experience with Adobe AEM and Marketing Cloud stack (Analytics, DTM, Target, Search & Promote)
  • Strong collaboration across product, engineering, and business teams; ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse stakeholders
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD, release management, and multiple public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Budget management with significant direct/indirect costs (e.g., >$5M annually)
  • Experience working in both waterfall and agile environments; SAFe familiarity
  • Experience in a product-based delivery model with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
  • Education: Undergraduate/graduate degree or equivalent education + experience
