Job Summary
Director, Software Engineering - Shopping leads multiple product-focused software engineering teams delivering customer-facing web/ services, partnering with product managers to define capabilities and testing scenarios, and driving best-in-class engineering practices. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, guiding architectural decisions (including breaking monoliths into microservices and deploying to AWS), steering cross-functional Agile delivery, ensuring system availability, resilience, and scalability, and fostering innovation and collaboration across teams. Required skills include experience with node.js, Java, Go, React, Python, REST/JSON, NoSQL and relational databases, and AWS/cloud infrastructure; leadership of multi-team groups; and a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions in scalable architectures. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in CS or Software Engineering and 10+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in Agile practices and 3+ years launching products from the ground up.
Required Qualifications
