Job Summary

Lead, motivate, and coach a team of high-performing engineers and managers to achieve program goals and drive technical excellence in device software development, including graphical user interfaces, robotics controls, firmware, and cybersecurity. Establish and execute the strategic vision for the mid- to long-term technical roadmap while defining priorities, managing resources, and driving approvals for pre- and post-market needs. Ensure high availability, reliability, and robustness of MONARCH software by influencing R&D and cross-functional executives to shape business direction and translate complex topics into clear decisions for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain functional alignment across Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality software and documentation that enables high customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years professional experience in software development
  • 5+ years experience with hands-on technical leadership and people management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time within constraints by creatively adapting processes and using resources
  • Experience with medical devices from concept to delivery
  • Experience with documentation for medical device and non-medical device software
  • Proficiency in software development for medical devices and IEC 62304
  • Demonstrated success in partnering and influencing across a matrix environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and partners
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, international and domestic

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience successfully launching medical device products
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively recruit, develop, manage and coach associates (including manager level talent) to strengthen organizational capabilities
