Job Summary

Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of high-performing engineers and managers to drive program goals and technical excellence across device software development, including graphical user interfaces, robotics, controls, firmware, and cybersecurity. Establish and execute the strategic vision for the mid- to long-term technical roadmap, ensuring high availability, reliability, and robustness of MONARCH software. Define priorities, manage resources, and own outcomes for SW R&D efforts covering budget management, delivery timelines, and approvals for pre- and post-market medical device needs. Translate complex business and technical topics into clear decisions for internal R&D leadership, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial teams, and external stakeholders. Collaborate on breakthrough medical technologies to advance physician skills and improve patient outcomes globally.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years professional experience in software development
  • 5+ years experience with hands-on technical leadership and people management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time within constraints by creatively adapting processes and using resources
  • Experience with medical devices from concept to delivery
  • Experience with documentation for medical device and non-medical device software
  • Proficiency in software development for medical devices and IEC 62304
  • Demonstrated success in partnering and influencing across a matrix environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and partners
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, international and domestic

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience successfully launching medical device products
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively recruit, develop, manage and coach associates (including manager level talent) to strengthen organizational capabilities
