Job Summary
Lead solution and business architecture for cloud capabilities across multiple business verticals, translating organizational strategy into functional architectural recommendations. Participate in high-level cross-functional design teams and consult with internal and external resources to produce cross-company strategic designs for major technology initiatives. Drive project discussions with users and external groups to resolve issues, while setting vision, goals, and direction for the team and organization. Provide leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams on complex organization-wide projects, advising senior management on technical strategy. Plan and lead organization-wide initiatives, identify future resource needs, and regularly provide guidance, training, and coaching to team members for performance and career development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent)
- six (6) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) performing mainframe, batch, Spring, and Customer Information Control System (CICS) application development within a financial services environment
- Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent)
- four (4) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) performing mainframe, batch, Spring, and Customer Information Control System (CICS) application development within a financial services environment
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing batch processing using Endevor version control, JCL, Cobol, DB2, CICS, SORT and File-Aid utility tools, and Control-M scheduling tool
- conducting performance testing on mainframe, batch, and online modules, using STROBE and SYSVIEW
- DE building batch applications using Spring Batch and JSR-352 frameworks
- containerizing and deploying Spring Boot applications on Kubernetes
- building data validations using rules engine
- performing performance tuning of distributed batch applications using Instana
- DE building Spring Boot applications using Kafka
- building native stored procedures on DB2 using micro services architecture
- deploying Spring Boot applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- DE developing Cobol mainframe and distributed modules that interface with distributed and Web consumer layer modules within defined contribution record keeping functionalities

- Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineering (or closely related occupation) performing mainframe, batch, Spring, and Customer Information Control System (CICS) application development within a financial services environment
