Job Summary
Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial sales agreements, including master purchasing and distribution contracts, while partnering with stakeholders to evaluate transaction risks and drive deals to close. Advise on go-to-market strategies, contribute to customer RFP responses, and support the development of strategic playbooks and contract lifecycle management workflows. Oversee contract administrators, champion process innovation to improve global commercial legal efficiency, and lead special legal initiatives as assigned. Operate independently in a high-volume environment to deliver practical, strategic legal solutions that support WD's worldwide sales and marketing organization.
Required Qualifications
- 8 or more years of relevant transactional legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government legal setting
- demonstrated track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and sales-related agreements
- Current member in good standing of a U.S. State Bar, or Registered In-House Counsel in California (or eligible therefor)
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school or its equivalent
- Working knowledge of U.S. consumer protection, competition, and intellectual property laws
- Professional fluency in English, both written and verbal
