Job Summary
Lead the School of Public Policy by managing the Master of Arts in Leadership and Public Service and Master of Public Administration programs, overseeing curriculum, recruitment, scheduling, and operations. Develop partnerships and coordinate with the Community and Government Director to support state-wide recruitment and fundraising while cultivating relationships with alumni and key program sponsors. Supervise graduate program staffing, including instructor recruitment and assessment, and teach assigned courses to advise students with diverse experiences. Admit graduate students, foster a strong pipeline of prospective students, and maintain an Alumni Council. Cultivate partnerships to expand student support, mentoring, and career opportunities. Develop research and publishing in coordination with the Associate Dean, participate in continuous improvement, and contribute to college and faculty meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Earned doctorate or terminal academic degree with an emphasis on at least one of the following areas: public policy, leadership, public administration, community development (Ph.D. or EdD preferred) or significant public policy experience with a desire to complete a terminal degree
- Knowledge of curriculum development and pedagogy
- Excellent speaking, communication, teaching, and presentation skills
- Committed work ethic

- Excellent interpersonal skills (including team leadership and facilitation of cooperative endeavors)
- Work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using data
