Job Summary
Coordinate the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Concierge, and Guest Recognition, by maximizing revenue through rate control and occupancy management while maintaining guest satisfaction standards. Direct the work of associates, manage personnel functions such as hiring and training, and prepare annual operating and capital budgets. Analyze departmental costs, review daily work reports, and handle guest complaints tactfully. Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality policies, monitor P.B.X. operations, and oversee cash handling at the Front Desk. Maintain high personal grooming standards and attend required briefings and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years experience in a similar position in a luxury upscale hotel environment
- Exemplary leadership skills
- Proven ability to achieve the highest level of service and quality throughout the Rooms Division
- Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license from the applicable state
- Understanding and knowledge of hospitality terms
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with all corporate sponsored programs such as airline mileage Triple Upgrade or V.I.P. programs and the standards and procedures for each
