Job Summary
Director, Risk Management leading second-line oversight and shaping the bank's enterprise risk management framework. Partners with senior leaders to translate complex risk insights into clear guidance across operational, non-financial, cyber, third-party, and conduct risks. Oversees risk policies, governance, and standards; strengthens risk oversight and challenge across business lines; ensures alignment with risk appetite and regulatory expectations. Leads and develops a high-performing risk team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Requires 10+ years of risk management experience in financial services, post-secondary education in a related field, and strong senior-level influence and communication skills. In-office role based in Calgary, Alberta.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in risk management within a financial services environment
- Post-secondary education in business, risk management, or a related field
- A recognized risk management designation is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and the Canadian financial environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and lead at a senior level
